We believe that the dining table is more than just a piece of furniture—it is a place where precious memories are made and meaningful connections are formed and nurtured. Our stoneware tableware enhances these moments with aesthetics, design, traditional craftsmanship, and natural materials. At Izanami, we value high-quality organic meals, best served on natural and sustainable tableware.

 

We, the founders of Izanami, Caroline and Jacinta, are two kindred spirits who, after countless shared journeys through Portugal, decided in 2022 to bring our vision of modern stoneware ceramics to life. Since 2023, our first two collections have been available on the German market, delighting both design-oriented home cooks and professional chefs. It was especially important to us to create a product that is thoroughly sustainable—not only impressive in design but also guided by forward-thinking values from production to delivery.

The production should be resource-efficient, following traditional European craftsmanship, and our producer should embody the same social values that we uphold in our company: integrity, fairness, diversity and inclusion, environmental responsibility, and excellence. We are very pleased to have found a small Portuguese manufactory in 2023, after a long search, that aligns with us on all these points. We believe that this allows us to make the world a little more sustainable, plate by plate, meal by meal. Izanami – hospitality that connects.
